Google declared Wednesday that it’ll open up its most advanced artificial intelligence models to 200 European researchers.
“By delivering crucial compute power and state-of-the-art tools directly to research teams, this efforts targets to accelerate the pace of European innovation and strengthen the continent’s scientific competitiveness,” Google mention in a statement launched at an AI summit in Dublin.
The researchers, chosen by using the European Commission under its Resource for AI Science in Europe (RAISE) program, will get access to Google DeepMind and Google Cloud’s “main scientific tools consisting of AlphaFold 3, WeatherNext, AlphaGenome, AlphaEvolve and AlphaEarth Foundations,” Google stated.
AlphaFold 3 specializes in research on proteins while WeatherNext specializes in meteorological forecasts.
The declaration got here as demands for greater regulation of AI have increased following a series of security incidents.
