Cadence Design Systems (CDNS.O), and Nvidia (NVDA.O), are partnering to in addition the developing of artificial intelligence for robots, the CEOs ‌of the 2-companies stated on Wednesday.

Cadence, who is one of the biggest supplier of the software used in designing advanced computing chips, is operating with Nvidia to combine its physics engines, which expect how real-world materials interact, with Nvidia AI models formed to train robots inside computer simulations.

“We’re working with you across the board on robotic systems,” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated at a conference hosted by Cadence in Santa Clara, California.

If AI is addictive, where does the responsibility lie? With big tech or its users?

Training robots in such simulations may be rapid than training them in the real world, however the training data for doing so isn’t easily available and must be created by software which include Cadence’s physics engines. The aim of the collaboration, the 2 CEOs stated, is to decrease the time require for robots to carry out beneficial tasks.

“The more correct (created training ‌data) is, the better the model could be,” stated Cadence CEO Anirudh Devgan.

Cadence shares were up more than 4%.

Cadence also stated on Wednesday it’s launching a new AI agent that will take on a some of the tasks that human engineers execute to design chips.

Earlier this year, Cadence launched an agent that tackle the early phases of designing a chip, in which the chip’s circuit is designed in a language that seems like computer code. On Wednesday, Cadence stated a new agent might deal with the later stages wherein that circuit is laid out as a physical layout on a piece of silicon, and that the system will become available on Alphabet’s (GOOGL.O), Google Cloud.

“We assist construct AI systems, and then those AI systems can assist improve the design process,” Devgan stated.
